There are 65 days left until the first whistle blows in South Africa. I’m quite sure you know what I’m talking about: the football World Cup. I’m looking forward to it for month years now and I’m sure it will be a great event.

Am vergangenen Samstag (27.3.) fand die “Earth Hour” statt – eine Stunde lang wurde das Licht in vielen Städten und an vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten abgeschaltet, um auf den Klimawandel aufmerksam zu machen. Wir haben aus vier Städten (Sydney, Berlin, Paris und München) LIVE gestreamt und ich habe mir die dunkle Harbour Bridge in Sydney am Samstagmorgen LIVE angeschaut. Das war wirklich faszinierend – auch wenn die Autos, die über die Brücke fuhren, ihr Licht natürlich nicht ausgeschaltet haben…

You might have expected it: of course we do not just dump all of our daily video clips, but we’re watching most of them ourselves and put the best of them in our archive. To keep track of the tens of thousands of clips collected during the past years we use categories, comments and so on. So this week, we saw 2 clips with the moon nicely visible. We knew we also had several moon clips in our archive, so it was about time for a special.
To add a little edge to the video compilation, we recorded a soundtrack right in our office to match the moon mood. Get ready for a surprise! Ah-ooo!
Oh, and the last location in the video, which is New York, will offer a stunning image as well. You won’t believe it’s the moon!

On Friday evening, I’ve been attending a really interesting lecture by Charlie Todd here in Munich. Even if you don’t know the name, you’ve most likely seen one of his videos. Charlie Todd is the founder of “Improv Everywhere”, a group that “causes scenes of chaos and joy in public places”, as they describe themselves. One of their most watched videos is the “Frozen Grand Central” video, a “freeze” flashmob.

I remember walking into a random shop in town with my parents and I was served a free glass of prosecco by the shopkeeper and then forced to try on a strange outfit that came with an apron.

Egal ob Touristen, die für ein Erinnerungsfoto in den seltsamsten Posen verharren, Bodybuilder, die ihre Posen einüben oder der Weihnachtsmann, der vor der earthTV-Kamera ein Tänzchen aufführt – im “FunnyLand”-Special auf earthTV.com zeigen wir das alles und natürlich noch viel mehr.
